I have always enjoyed wine. Over time and bottles, I found my curiosity towards the complex yet fascinating wine industry has steadily grown as my “wine knowledge” increased. At first, I was naïve enough to think that all wine was created equal where the marketing solely determined the pricing discrepancy; then I foolishly thought that higher price tags automatically equate to higher quality; then I just started drinking whatever my pallets are more “fond” of. Through taking this course, I hope to learn more than what type of grapes that go into each bottle; rather, I hope to discover all the marketing and branding techniques that go into each bottle that make them truly unique and sought after.
