Why I Am Taking This Class

Wine has become the centerpiece of my life. I left my job in 2018 to start a wine education company to pursue my passion for wine and it was the best decision I ever made. I was able to travel the world and meet so many unique and wonderful winemakers and others in the wine community. I have since launched two other wine-related ventures and I wake up thinking about wine everyday. Wine is art in a bottle and it simply blows my mind. I also worked the harvest in Chile last spring, which was a life changing opportunity for me.  I am inspired by the idea of innovating wine technology to make wine more accessible for the everyday consumer. All of this leads to why I want to take this class. I have studied wine intensely (in terms of theory, tasting etc...) and have decided that wine is the industry I want to pursue for my career. I believe the missing piece for me is to learn much more about the economics behind the supply chain in wine and all of the legal aspects associated with this. I hope to soak up as much as I can from this course to help me run my current wine ventures as well as increase my legal knowledge in the space to help me achieve my goal of disrupting the wine technology space.
