Wine has persisted through many wars, the industrial revolution
and now the technological revolution, staying fairly true to its original form.
Even survived prohibition in multiple parts of the world and persisted as the
dinner table stable we know today despite complicated regulation, increasingly unpredictable
climate cycles and changing tastes of generations. That is fascinating to me,
and I think it would be interesting to figure out how the industry works in
that complexity and manages to stay current and relevant.
Looking at marketing, distribution, entrepreneurship,
regulation and more through the lens of this fascinating industry is what
attracted me to the course and I hope to explore these and more through the quarter!
I think it will be a great journey exploring these themes that you would in any
case need to for a business education through the lens of the wine industry.
