Though I love wine, I am a complete novice. I am taking this class because I am eager to learn a little bit more about wine and about the wine industry. I also am excited to be part of a group that has all selected a class about wine.
I also think it is highly interesting that wine is an industry that has faced so much regulation, and so much change in regulation, over time. I am eager to learn more about this because I think it is an example that can be extrapolated to and learned from in other industries.
Finally, there are a lot of interesting innovations and business models in the wine industry that I find fascinating and am so happy to be able to listen to some of the leaders in the industry speak.
