Why Wine?

Singaporeans love our wine. According to the ProWein Business Report 2018, Singapore is the top emerging market for wine exporters, with more than one out of three respondents seeing Singapore as the export destination with the most potential within the next five years. While we are a small country of 5.6 million, we quaff nearly 2 bottles of wine per capita, with room for more. That is why I am intrigued to learn more about the dynamics of this sector. I have drunk wine and visited vineyards without understanding the nuances of the industry. Through this course, I hope to learn more about what makes this sector tick so that I can apply this knowledge in a country with a growing love for the vine.
